… And the List is Unending!

A short essay that highlights the importance of being thankful to God in all circumstances.

Tafsīr of the Bismillāh Verse

Farāhi’s exposition of the oft-repeated verse of the Holy Qur’ān has many dimensions to it. Not only does it trace diachronic history, it also seeks to establish multi-faceted relationship of this formula with the foundation of Islam – God-consciousness that runs through each directive of Islam. Discussion on the etymology of the name of God – Allah – elevates the essay to linguistic heights.

Sūrah Qiyāmah

The Day of Reckoning is sure to come. There is no doubt about it. Yet many did not and still do not believe it. The sūrah demonstrates that they are without excuse. They deny the truth in the face of evidence perfectly articulated in the microcosm (nafs) as elsewhere – they know it, experience it and then repudiate it. How should the miscreants of this sort be treated? Censured, rebuked and admonished? The commentary of Islāhī unfolds these and many other aspects of the Qur’ānic discourse. He, drawing upon Farāhī’s thesis, also discerns a divine plan in the verses revealed in response to the Holy Prophet’s urge to hastily receive the whole of the Holy Qur’ān.

The Obligatory Religious Practices of Islam

This is a comprehensive text of different narratives attributed to the Holy Prophet (sws) on the above captioned topic along with its requisite explanation by Moiz Amjad.
