Sūrah Nasr

Amīn Ahsan Islāhī makes a valuable contribution to the ongoing debate regarding the occasion of revelation of this sūrah, which not only impacts its purpose of revelation but also gives a fresh insight into the preaching mission of the Holy Prophet (sws).

Sūrah as a Unit

Hamīd Uddīn Farāhī endeavors to establish that each sūrah of the Holy Qur’ān is an independent unit, having its own specific message to convey. This is one of the several premises that he laid to prove that the Holy Qur’ān is a well-knit and structured discourse.

Belief in Divine Books

To believe in all books revealed by Allah is an integral article of faith in Islam. The Holy Qur’ān is but the last divine revelation given to mankind. In this essay, the author, Jāved Ahmad Ghāmidī, first outlines this belief and then describes the divine books that have survived the ebbs and flows of history.

Why Islamic Ethics?

The author, Dr Khalīd Zaheer, in this article has endeavored to answer the queries of those who do not appreciate the idea of studying a course on Islamic ethics in an academic program focusing on business or business-related studies. It is being reproduced in this journal since it deals with many important issues.

The History of Makkah Mukarramah/The History of Madīnah Munawwarah

This is a book review of the above captioned books by Samīn Ahmed Khān.
