Islam and the Taliban

Ghāmidī reflects on the present day situation faced by Muslims in Pakistan and other countries as well. He, while analyzing the Taliban dogma, presents his understanding of Islam about democracy, the judiciary and the parliament. He reinforces that education and mutual discussion are the only means available to masses to bring desirable change in the Muslim society.

Sūrah A‘lā

This is a commentary of the Sūrah A‘lā by Amīn Ahsan Islāhī. The commentary, apart from common explanatory notes, contains a vital dicussion as to the meaning and significance of “ghūtha” and about the revelation and preservation of the Holy Qur’ān.

Sūrah Ghāshiyah

This is again a commentary of the Sūrah Ghāshiyah by Amīn Ahsan Islāhī. Islāhi dwells upon each and every description of Hell and Paradise, mentioned in the sūrah, and unravels the relevancy of the signs presented therein to substantiate the afterlife.

Honorific Oaths

A brief essay of Hamīd al-Dīn Farāhi that discusses a technical issue often discussed in Qur’anic hermeneutics: whether glorification is an indispensible part in oaths; where and how deviation from this was allowed and practiced among the Arabs.

Urging Peopel to attend the Congregational Prayer

This is a description of a comprehensive hadīth narrative on the above captioned topic by Moiz Amjad and his team. The narrative is followed by a note discussing its important variations found in different anthologies of hadīth literature.
