Let Me Be

KK
Khawar Kazi
January 2002 · 1 min read

There is a little peace in me.

Gray is now the darkened cloud.

A sudden calmness in the sea.

The noisy noise of buzzing bees

Has turned into a humming sound.

The rustling leaves have in the trees

A whispering melody found.

In secrecy there is a charm,

A glow, a luminous light unknown;

A mother holds her child in arm,

Her joy is within her sown.

I will not try to push again,

Against the tide of destiny

Let cloud, thunder or rain

Let me be, let me be.
