What is the significance of Imām Mahdī in Islam?
There are some Ahādīth Ahaadith which mention the coming of a Mihdi. All these Ahādīth are baseless and critics know that they were concocted by the Abbāsids against the Umayyids to justify their stance. The celebrated Muslim scholar Ibn Khaldūn has convincingly refuted them in his treatise “The Muqaddamah”.
