اخبرنا ابو عبداللّٰه محمد بن عبداللّٰه الحاكم قال انا محمد بن الفضل بن محمد ابو سعيد الواعظ قال انا أبو عبداللّٰه محمد بن سعيد المروزي قال انا يحيي بن عبد الرحمن السكري قال انا جندل بن والق قال انا محمد بن عمر المازني عن عباد الكليبي عن جعفر بن محمد عن ابيه عن فاطمة الصغرى عن الحسين بن علي عن امه فاطمه بنت محمد صلي اللّٰه عليه وسلم قالت خرج علينا رسول اللّٰه صلي اللّٰه عليه وسلم عشية عرفة فقال ان اللّٰه عز وجل باهلني بكم فغفر لكم عامة وغفر لعلي خاصة واني رسول اللّٰه صلي اللّٰه عليه وسلم اليكم غير هاب لقومي ولا محاب لقرابتي فهذا جبريل يخبرني ان السعيد كل السعيد من احب عليا في حياته وبعد وفاته وأن الشقي كل الشقي من أبغض عليا في حياته وبعد وفاته
قال المؤلف هذا حديث لا يصح عن رسول الله وعباد الكليبي ليس بشيء وقال النسائي وابن حبان هو متروك
Fatimah bint Muhammad stated: “God’s Messenger (sws) came to us on the night of ‘Arafah and said: ‘Indeed, God, the Mighty, the Exalted, has expressed his pride about you; thus he has forgiven you people generally and ‘Ali specially. I have been sent to you as a Messenger of God without fearing my nation and without having regard for my blood relatives [in matters of justice]. Thus this is what Gabriel is informing me. Fortunate is he who loves ‘Ali during his life and after his death and unfortunate is he who had malice for ‘Ali during his life and after his death.’”1

After citing this narrative, Ibn al-Jazwi says that this narrative is not authentically ascribed to the Prophet (sws); ‘Ibad al-Kulaybi is laysa bi shay’ and al-Nasa’i and Ibn Hibban says that he is matruk.
