Sūrah ‘Ādiyāt

Presented here is commentary of the Sūrah Kāfirūn by Amīn Ahsan Islāhī. The sūrah begins with a number of oaths, followed by an acute criticism of the ungrateful attitude of human beings – something which a just God would never ignore. Islāhi dwells on each oath and shows how it relates to what follows them. He also elaborates the dire though quite justified implications of the Qur’ānic criticism.

Sūrah Āl-‘Imrān (21-41)

This is an annotated translation of twenty verses of Sūrah Al-Imrān by Jāved Ahmad Ghāmidī. These verses deplore the attitude of Israelites towards divine revelations and the Messengers; they also warn weak-hearted Muslims who continue cherishing a soft stance for rejecters of truth. Also discussed in these verses is the episode of rearing of Mary by Zechariah (sws) and how he was given the glad tiding of a son – John (sws).

The Length of Sūrahs

This brief essay of Farāhī investigates the wisdom underlying the varying size of surāhs of the Holy Qur’ān.

The Crisis of Islam: Holy War and Unholy Terror

This is a comprehensive review of The Crisis of Islam, which gained much popularity not only in the West but also in many quarters of the Muslim world as well.
