This mighty servant of God
Obeyed impulsively His nod
His spontaneity is astounding
Mind boggling; dumbfounding
So affectionate and concerned
Wanted God's wrath overturned
Hospitable he was to the core
With courage the fire he bore
It was put out at God's behest
Yet a huge ordeal was this test
Son sacrifice his greatest trial
Uninhibited he was all the while
From Urr to Arabia he travelled
Brand new paths he unravelled
Ishmael in Hejaz Isaac in Levant
Centres of God set up this savant
Progeny of Abraham were blessed
If faith and morals they professed
